Kristen Kaszuba

Occupational Therapist

Welcome to Pediatric Foundations! My name is Kristen and I have been providing pediatric occupational therapy services in home, community, and school settings since 2010. My heart is happiest when in nature and in the mountains. You can often find my family enjoying the great outdoors through mountain biking, camping, hiking, skiing, or just playing in the mud.

My passion for feeding therapy has grown over the last few years as I constantly found myself with a lack of places to refer my existing clients to for advanced support in feeding, oral motor control, or picky eating. Pediatric Foundations was born out a need to fill that service gap.

I have completed extensive training in the world of feeding, including the following courses:

- Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention Protocol

- Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding

- Mealtime Miseries: Management of Complex Feeding Disorders

- Using Crumbs as a Tool in Pediatric Feeding Transitions

- Improving Eating Behaviours in Children with Feeding Aversions

- Feed the Peds

- and counting!

Katie Thompson

Speech and Language Pathologist

And my name is Katie! I have also been providing pediatric speech and language therapy services in home, community, and school settings since 2012. Unlike Kristen, my heart is not happiest when doing all the wild outdoorsy things she does (we are quite opposite when it comes to this) – but I love being outside in the summertime with my dog, drinking a good cup of coffee, listening to music & dancing, or being by the lake where I grew up back home.

Kristen and I have worked together for over 10 years now, and in fact, she taught me how to be a better SLP! After some time apart, I decided I missed her too much, and wanted to share clients with her again. So, here we are.

I have a strong passion for working with the neurodiverse population. I pride myself in building a strong rapport with the families I work with, so we can collaborate together and find ways to help your child’s communication grow, in a way that works best for YOU. For the past ten+ years, I have worked with children with varying abilities to help support: developmental language delays, social communication, speech sound production delays/disorders.

Kailey Yaremy

Speech and Language Pathologist

Hi, I'm Kailey and I've been an SLP for 8 years.

Though I've worked with a variety of ages, my passion is working with children. I love targeting goals through play and coming up with fun activities for our sessions!

I understand family life can be busy and want to work with you to best support your child. I truly enjoy learning from other therapists and working with a team.

I have one cat, named Lola; we both enjoy long naps and watching too much Netflix. I love spending time with my friends, trying new restaurants, reading, and traveling. I also serve on the board of a non-profit organization and spend a lot of my time volunteering in the community.

Brenda Jones

Therapy Support Aide and Intake Coordinator

Hello, I'm Brenda! I've devoted most of my life to working with children of all abilities, spanning various roles such as home childcare, school support, developmental aide work, and even serving as the director of summer camps, including most recently, camps by Calgary Apraxia. Additionally, I've had the privilege of contributing to a non-profit organization as a board member.

Since 2013, my focus has been on supporting children with differing needs, collaborating with professionals in speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and psychology.

To recharge, you'll often find me embarking on mini adventures around the city, enjoying visits to coffee shops (because coffee makes the world go round!), exploring diverse restaurants, heading to the mountains, hiking, and trying out new activities.
